Hey everyone, as we all know, the most awaited GTA VI trailer is out! Yeah, we all loved the graphics, characters, and cars, and whatnot, but is it all? Today, PewPewGamers is back with GTA VI – Everything We Know So Far! So, let’s start.
Not only do we have the official GTA 6 release date, but Rockstar has also dropped the second trailer, which has given us a whole new look at its highly anticipated open-world banger.
While GTA V was released on 17 September 2013, it was rumored that GTA VI had been in the making since 2014. We’ve waited more than 10 years to get a sneak peek. The official GTA VI trailer was launched on Rockstar’s YouTube channel on December 4, 2023, and it was set to release on December 5, 2025!
Following the developer’s statement, “GTA VI needs more time to deliver the level of quality you expect and deserve”. The new trailer has most definitely added a sense of excitement to every gamer and is going to be easily one of the biggest games Rockstar has ever created.
About the Characters of GTA VI
Both trailers give us a glimpse of the new protagonists, Jason and Lucia. Not just another criminal duo, but they also have a hint of modern chaos and rebellious nature with truly raw ambitions. Lucia is introduced in a prison jumpsuit, and we believe her story begins behind bars.
Her character gives off a tough and calculated energy. As we see in the trailers, she is at the center of those high-voltage robberies. Jason appears more natural and operates like a modern-day villain.
GTA 6 Release Date
Mark the date! It is set to release on May 26, 2026, Rockstar confirmed on a Twitter Post. The new release date can also be seen at the end of Trailer 2. Though the game was set to launch on May 05, 2025, the developers said that they only want to give us the best of it, and now it is set to release in fall 2025.

The first ever GTA VI trailer was uploaded on Rockstar’s channel on December 05, 2023 and it was everything we hoped it would be! With stunning visuals, a picture-perfect trailer, and not one but two main protagonists, it was enough to create excitement among us gamers. GTA 6 Trailer 2
In trailer 2, we get to see the state of Leonida, where the actual game will take place. The actual trailer starts with Jason going to collect Lucia from the prison. With trailer 2, Rockstar confirmed that we’re back in Vice City. Jason and Lucia, ruling the state of Vice City – what we all imagined it would be like! If you haven’t watched trailer 2, click here.
GTA 6 Platforms
As of now, it’s confirmed that GTA VI will be coming to PS5 as well as on the Xbox Series. In the official press release, it was stated that “GTA VI is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official trailer 2 was also a gameplay snippet from PlayStation 5, as mentioned in the video. We’re still not sure if our consoles will give 60+ fps. We’ll have to wait to know more. Will GTA VI be available to play on PC? As of now, it seems unlikely, but we’ll update as soon as we have an update.
What Other Things We Can Expect in GTA VI?
While the expectations for this game are out of the roof, and the game is still a year away, we do have some information about the game. We’ve listed them below!
- The first notable change from GTA V to GTA VI is that while GTA V had only 2-5% of buildings that were enterable or interactive. GTA VI, on the other hand, will be the first of a kind game to introduce 100% interactive and enterable buildings. How cool is that?
- Famous cars from all the GTA franchise are making a comeback. Famous cars such as Vapid Speedo, Vapid Caracara 4×4, Pegassi Zorrusso, etc, are said to have a comeback.
- The game will have more than 300 cars with new cars getting added in every update.
- Rockstar confirmed that all the NPCs in the game will be AI and they will have their own life. Like others, they will use Social Media, engage in fights, and everything else.
- GTA VI publisher said that “Rockstar is going to give an experience like never before”.
While these hypes seem too good to be true, we’re sure that we’ll see much more than this when the game arrives. In the meantime, we all can do some Cayo Pericos! 😀
